Teen models are all over the world, little teenage girls and strong teenage boys, in the mirror, dressed up,
pullng poses and dreaming of one day being a big star, a famous catwalk supermodel or a magazine beauty.
From 13 yrs - 18 years, these teen people can sometimes have more potential than older models, and can
be taught the basics of poise and modeling before they get into bad habits, or before they begin to destroy
their bodies and look with drugs, alcohol, bad eating/ eating disorders, lack of exercise etc - correct training
from the start is important. Young models have a small head start, but it doesn't mean to say they are all
suitable. Many are too rebellious to ever be able to work. Others suffer from dreadful acne and other skin
problems that often plague teens, which limits their ability to start young also - good genes and luck play
a big role. Not to say these young people can't begin a successful modelling career after their teenage awkwardness
has gone.
teenage training can be easier in some ways, harder in others. Teen models often have a fresh look, and if they
are tall enough, possess the little girl 'shapeless' look that designers love to throw their clothes over down the
runway! the girl figure that all the top models are striving to maintain as their womanly figure tries to emerge;
it is not logical, but clothes do tend to sit better on a skinny, shapeless being. Why it has become the epitome
of beauty is beyond me; nothing is less attractive than a shapeless woman or girl, and nothing is more beautiful
than breasts that move, curves on the hips and butt, thighs that have shape.. in any case, the teen girls and
teenage boys can pull off this shapeless look, which makes them ideal beginners. It is appealing to society to see
a young girl or boy dressed as an adult, it is amusing and interesting to them to see what is considered a child,
behaving and responding as a mini-adult, hence the popularity.
If the teen is lucky enough to have clear complexion, healthy hair, long legs and a height o 5' 9 or over, is able
to follow direction, be serious enough about their pending career, and listen and learn, they have a very good
chance to be guided into a very lucrative career. Very few teens possess this discipline, intelligence, poise and physique,
so when it is discovered, they become even more famous, like the young pert teen Gemma Ward. A tall, pretty,
"normal", well behaved and healthy young girl of appropriate height is snapped up into the world of fashion;
surprisingly, most of the top models and discoveries are just that - discoveries. They had no thought of modeling or
plans to follow a career in modeling. then they are either dared into entering a competition by friends, or they
are discovered in the street or the supermarket by a talent scout. Lucky break!
