CONTRACTS & FEES:
There are no joining fees; the only agencies charging “joining fees” and other charges, are rip-off agencies,
or those staying open through the fees they receive, not the work they get you.
A real agency promotes you at their own expense and gets paid 10% for the work they get you;
the only
thing you should be paying for is your initial portfolio, and even this can often be
arranged for nothing (tfcd - your Time in exchange For copies of the CD of photos with
photographers). Models with haute couture potential (young, fresh, over 5' 10, with a 'special something')
will be trained, groomed and have a portfolio created for them by the agency. All recruits
will have test shoots done for agency promotion.
Our people do not sign contracts until we begin to get them work, and then it is a
non-exclusive contract, so you may be listed with other agencies. Nobody signs an
exclusive contract with anyone until they are receiving a huge amount of work and
begin to get a public name. The agency will then request an exclusive contract, promising
you a minimum amount of income per year.

When going for a casting, how do you know you are ready?
Always arrive to every casting, audition or performance
early. If you're early, you're on-time. If you're on-
time, you're late!
CASTING CHECKLIST
- 1. Your Book
- Take your book to all castings for casting clients to see your work potential.
- 2. Head sheets/ Comp cards
- Make sure you take spare copies of your head sheet &/ or comp card with you,
leave one at each casting (colour copies can be made at any Copy Centre).
- 3. Look Great
- Present a Fresh look at castings - this includes clean, healthy hair & clear
skin (no sunburn or blemishes!). Wear very little or no make up for the casting directors to see your
most basic potential; they can imagine you with the makeup they will have you in.
Regular exercise, two litres of water daily and a healthy,
balanced diet is the MINIMUM discipline you should adopt to get into & stay in shape.
Remaining in good shape (not 'skinny' or overweight) is imperative to your success.
- 4. Attitude
- Approach each casting with a positive, professional, polite and confident attitude!
Rudeness, huffy prima-donna like behaviour, or negative reactions to constructive criticism will end your
career before it begins. Word of mouth can make or break you.
